Workshops
During the growing season—from mid April to October—I bring buckets of my best flowers to share with Portland– and Central Gorge–area residents.
Each workshop is customized to ensure the best possible experience for participants.
Depending on the size of the group, I bring anywhere from 3 to 10 buckets of flowers and foliage, and together we make bouquets that participants take home to enjoy for a week or more.
The emphasis is on having fun. We talk about the flowers themselves, like how they were grown and the history of their use. We talk about organic farming and gardening. We share flower memories, when we first fell in love with flowers and what they mean to us.
No design experience required! It’s about putting together colors and textures in ways that please us. It’s about enjoying fragrance and touch.
(I’m a certified Master Gardener, but I present as a cut flower grower only and not on behalf of the Master Gardener program.)
I’ve given group presentations for the past 7 years, and my style is engaging and interactive.
Group tours of the farm can be arranged by appointment.
I’d love to speak with you about my workshop and how it can bring delight to your group or club!
